Advantages and disadvantages of spoke load cell

In the mid-1980s, this kind of load cell was widely used in large scale weighing instruments of truck scale in China. However, due to its own machining problems and hysteresis errors, it was replaced by the later suspended wall beam load cell and bridge type load cell.

Advantages of load cell: strong anti eccentric load and lateral load capacity, strong overload capacity, independent of loading point and support boundary, uniform stress distribution, good linearity, and fixed load cell without rotation.

Disadvantages of weighing sensor: difficult machining, high manufacturing cost, large inherent lag and difficult to control.
